Trainer/Support Specialist

This challenging positon has a dual-focus; training and support of customers, and in-house support.

Customer Focus:

• Classroom training on off-the-shelf software and other topics, such as basics of textiles.
• On-site and phone software support, including the following:
  • All shrink-wrapped software: Photoshop, Illustrator, Streamline, Typestyler, Painter, scanning s/w, Pagemaker, Quark, ARA, Timbuktu, MacLink, MacOS, and others.
  • All Monarch proprietary software offerings, including: Pointcarré Design, Pointcarré Weave, MKS, Monarchive, Envision, Plaids & Stripes, ColorExchange, and Punto.
  • Hardware support, including: printers, scanners, Macs, PCs, monitors, networks, digitizing tablets, storage mechanisms (i.e. optical, Syquest, Zip, hard drives).

In-House Focus:

• Evaluate and test new products/technologies
• Research new solutions to customer needs
• Help train new staff
• Stay current with latest software updates
• Add and update content to in-house knowledge-base
• Assist with software testing

Note: Position may require significant travel and availability to train nights and/or weekends.



Systems Engineer

We seek a PC & Macintosh technical support specialist to provide phone and on-site technical support; and configure, test and install high-end Computer Aided Design systems for the fashion & apparel industries. Also provide internal system administration including server maintenance, tape backup, database management, and networking. Knowledge of MacOS/Win95 and hardware a must. Knowledge of graphics software, WinNT, printers, and scanners a plus. Self-starter.
