   February 4, 1997 Monarch Design Systems and Drexel University Form Educational Alliance Glendale, NY - Monarch Design Systems and Drexel University have formed a partnership to offer the popular Monarch School classes at Drexel's Philadelphia campus. The curriculum will include classes on usage of popular "off-the-shelf" software, such as Adobe Photoshop©, Adobe Illustrator©, and Fractal Painter© for textile and fashion design. The alliance also coincides with the kickoff of two new Monarch School offerings - Introduction to Woven Fabrics, and Introduction to Knit Fabrics. "At Drexel we strive to give our students real-life experiences," said Gary Ferris, Director of Professional Studies at Drexel. "This has become a hallmark of the University. The Monarch School at Drexel advances that philosophy, and adds another valuable component to our textile design course offerings."
