Monarch Design Systems Adds Embroidery to CAD Solutions

Glendale, NY - Further broadening its Computer Aided Design solutions for the apparel and textile industries, Monarch Design Systems will distribute PuntoTM embroidery software from SofTeamTM USA. Punto software makes it simple to create incredibly realistic embroideries directly on Monarch CAD systems.

"We assessed several embroidery products and quickly realized that Punto was by far the best package available - on any computer platform," says David Matsil, Managing Director for Monarch.

Punto's powerful graphic tools enable designers to create artwork from scratch or manually trace over scanned images. Users can mix artwork with existing drawings (from popular graphics applications, like Adobe Illustrator©) and text, creating different combinations of shapes, embroidery effects and colors.

Punto can create text with fancy perspectives, easily create monograms, or apply embroidery effects to thousands of already made Macintosh fonts, creating embroideries without a single line. Once the design is finalized, Punto automatically calculates the stitches.

The full CAM version of Punto can output to disk, paper tape or send artwork directly to embroidery machines, and can read embroideries from other systems and send them directly to embroidery machines - Punto supports all of the most common embroidery standards, including Tajima, ZSK and Barudan.
