Developing and Manufacturing Knits

For creating knit textiles, Monarch Knitting Sytem Software enables designers to quickly and easily:
  • Develop knit jacquard, textured, and striped fabrics - at the stitch level, one stitch at a time, or by traditional paint and sketch techniques.
  • Design graphics in a variety of repeats and stitch counts before knitting.
  • Create various offset patterns of the same design automatically.
  • Convert knit designs into graphs, symbolic or stitch representation.
To streamline the knit manufacturing process, Monarch's add-on modules enable direct interface to a variety of knitting machines.

Creating, Refining and Generating Wovens

Do you want to print woven designs that look like fabric? Monarch introduces the Pointcarre family of software:
  • Select from a library of structures or develop your own.
  • Visualize countless color combinations.
  • Choose from a library of textured yarns or create your own.
  • Simulate yarn texture, crossings and fabric finishes.
  • Generate point plans and manufacturing data.
Pointcarre Weave Design software enables designers without any loom expertise to create realistic woven fabric simulations. To streamline the woven manufacturing process, add-on modules enable direct interface to a variety of looms.

Pointcarre Dobby and Pointcarre Jacquard software provide you with unparalleled tools for the creation, simulation and production of Dobby and Jacquard cloth, respectively. Pointcarre Dobby and Pointcarre Jacquard simplify the design and manufacturing processes, and interface with Dobby handlooms, production looms, and Jacquard looms.

Developing Prints, Graphics and Colorways

Toss away your pencils and paper. Pointcarre Design delivers more features and functionality for the type of work you do:
  • Automating design
  • Sketching
  • Textile printing
  • Storyboards
Pointcarre Design provides an arsenal of powerful tools for creating and refining designs:
  • Input artwork by freehand sketching or scanning.
  • Design with pencils, brushes and other familiar graphic tools.
  • Create vertical and horizontal stripes instantly.
  • Embed textures into designs, flats and croquies.
  • Generate flat art, stipple and watercolor effects.
We include an extensive library of flats, croquies, patterns, textures, and knit and woven stitches. Add your own for even greater possibilities.

Imagine millions of different colored markers. If it were possible, you would need an entire office just to store them - or just one Monarch Design System. You can:

  • Reduce, swap or change colors quickly.
  • Select or customize PantoneTM Color Systems and other color palettes.
  • Create colorways automatically.
  • Develop and store seasonal color palettes.

Textile / Apparel Database

Imagine rapidly sorting through your vast library of designs and retrieving the exact one you want to see. Monarch's graphic and data management software features extensive search tools that quickly and easily locate individual or groups of files. Thumbnail representations of your designs eliminate the guesswork and tedium of opening file after file - trying to find the right one. Organization has never been this easy or this much fun. Design data can be transferred between Macintosh, PCs, midrange and mainframes. Add on modules enable the creation of spec sheets, cost sheets and catalogs.

Drape

Creating samples and prototypes can be an expensive and time consuming job. Our texture mapping software, Envision, allows designers to create prints and colorways and drape them onto photos or croquies. This creates a sample without a single piece of fabric being produced, cut or sewn.

Marketing & Merchandising

Monarch systems provide a highly-evolved and integrated environment for users to capitalize on cutting-edge Internet, multimedia, and direct-to-press technologies to market their wares. Additionally, Monarch systems' cross-platform compatibility ensures simple import and export of information from Macintosh and Windows based systems.

Off-the-Shelf Software

Our affordable "off-the-shelf" software products, a groundbreaking development for CAD technology vendors, introduce the benefits of CAD to small design houses or larger companies with very specific design needs.
  • Plaids & StripesTM - an Adobe Photoshop plug-in which instantly generates simple to complex plaid and stripe patterns within Photoshop.
  • ColorCharterTM - a software utility which automatically generates reference color charts which can then be printed from most Macintosh applications to your in-house color printer(s). The color charts include exact color values, measured in hue, saturation, and lightness (HSL). The HSL values of the desired color "chip" are then entered directly into the Apple Color Picker - the color editing area for Macintosh software - to ensure faithful reproduction on your in-house color printer.
  • FashionFindingsTM - an extensive library of detailed, editable apparel and textiles-related electronic clip art.
  • ColorExchangeTM - automatically generate and view different color combinations of any graphic design in Adobe Photoshop.
  • TypeStylerTM - the ultimate software for manipulation of type and special type effects.

Monarch School
