Monarch Design Systems Adds CAD Specialist

Glendale, NY - Continuing its recent expansion, Monarch Design Systems welcomes Karen Zimble to the company as a CAD Specialist.

"We are extremely pleased to add Karen's wealth of textile and fashion design experience to Monarch," says David Matsil, Managing Director. "Karen's expertise in design workflow with CAD systems will be a tremendous asset and resource for our customers, as well as her ability to easily convey CAD concepts to those new to the technology."

Prior to her recent work as a freelance textile designer, Ms. Zimble was Head Textile Artist for Rachel's Kids/Popsicle Playwear, where she was instrumental in the development of girls and toddler sportswear and dresses. It was here that Ms. Zimble honed her skills using Monarch CAD systems and popular off-the-shelf graphics software to create original prints, repeats, colorways, finished flat sketches, presentation boards, and screenprinted embroidery designs.

Ms. Zimble's responsibilities at Monarch include product demonstrations, training, production of benchmarks, and software testing.

Ms. Zimble graduated with honors with a B.S. Degree in Studio Art and Fabric Design from Skidmore College, followed by an Associate Degree in Textile Design from Fashion Institute of Technology.
