New Monarch Software Garnering Attention from Press, Retail Catalogs

Monarch's new software, particularly the ColorExchange(tm) Photoshop plug-in and Pointcarré(tm) 5.0, has generated much excitement in the press, as evidenced by recent coverage in MacWEEK. Major retail catalogs are noticing Monarch, too.

ColorExchange is Monarch's latest addition to its growing family of affordable off-the-shelf software products. ColorExchange easily and instantly creates colorways within Adobe Photoshop(tm). At a list price of $795, the software pays for itself in only a few uses. Plaids & Stripes(tm), also an Adobe Photoshop plug-in, is Monarch's flagship off-the-shelf software product, enabling designers to rapidly generate simple to complex plaid and stripe patterns. Demo disks of both products are available from Monarch for those who would like a free sneak preview.

Pointcarré 5.0 is a software tool chest for sketching, textile prints, knits, wovens, storyboards, sales/merchandising materials, colorway samples, and incredibly realisitic fabric simulations. The just-released version has over 75 new features.

Monarch is also very pleased to announce that its line of off-the-shelf software is now carried by MicroWarehouse, Inc., one of the premier computer software and hardware mail order catalogs in the world. Plaids & Stripes for Macintosh and ColorExchange is available in the MacWarehouse catalog (1-800-622-6222), while Plaids & Stripes for Windows(tm) is available in the MicroWarehouse catalog (1-800-990-0742).

Monarch also announced that it is targeting 1998 to release ColorExchange, Monarch Knitting System (MKS) software, and Pointcarré for the Windows operating system.
